Sue has a long history with the Choir beginning as an audience member in 1993 She served on the Board as a community business member from 2001 through June 2008, and was Board Treasurer for three years. She was named Executive Director in July 2008.

Sue holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in business/accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a CPA and also is a part-time lecturer in the Business School.

After receiving her graduate degree, she worked for ten years as a senior manager in the consulting division of an international public accounting and accounting firm here in Madison, where she led the "strategic services" practice in the State of Wisconsin. The focus of her practice was on service industry and non-profit organizations.

She then spent eight years as chief operating officer of a human resources outsourcing company where she focused on designing and building internal processes and infrastructure. The company had many non-profit clients.

Throughout her twenty-some years in the "corporate" world, Sue has always found a way to work with non-profit organizations of all types and sizes, assisting them in achieving their missions.

Sue has always had a passion for the arts, especially choral music. Since she cannot sing (in public) she hopes to bring her financial, operational, and development experience to he Choir to ensure that our conductors, singers and other artists may continue to delight audiences for many years to come.
